Research Associates
Dr. rer. nat. Karina Häbig is the scientific coordinator of Cenata and responsible for sales management.
After completing her studies in biology at the Technical University of Dresden, Karina Häbig did her PhD at the Institute of Medical Genetics and Applied Genomics, specializing in the field of neurodegenerative diseases. Both during her PhD and subsequent time as a postdoctoral fellow, Dr. Häbig concentrated on the molecular and functional characterization of the LRRK2 gene, which is most commonly known in connection with Parkinson’s syndrome. She identified the first guanidine nucleotide exchange factor of the LRRK2 protein and thus provided the basis for further exploration of LRRK2 as a GTPase.
Dr. rer. nat. Stephanie Frank is responsible for scientific data analysis, report generation and head of marketing at Cenata GmbH.
Stephanie Frank studied biology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology with the main focus on molecular and microbiology. During her PhD studies at the Department of Cell and Neurobiology she investigated the different functions of specific integrin receptors and their influence on cell migration within micropatterned protein gradients. In cooperation with the group of experimental radio-oncology at the University Hospital Tübingen, she also supported a study of the impact of ionizing radiation on the invasion of glioblastoma cells.
M. Sc. Ina Spirer is responsible for scientific data analysis and report generation at Cenata GmbH.
Ina Spirer completed her studies in Bioinformatics and Molecular Biotechnology at the Eberhard-Karls University Tübingen and Technical University Munich (TUM). During her Bachelor’s thesis she worked on plant genetic regulation and stress response in absence of gravity. In her Master’s thesis she established a deletion of the tumor suppressor gene TP53 with CRISPR/Cas in a human colon cancer cell line and analysed their resistance to radiation and chemotherapeutic therapy. This provided the basis for further research since human colorectal carcinoma is frequently associated with the loss of TP53.
M. Sc. Ann-Kathrin Fritz is responsible for the validation of the medical reports at Cenata GmbH.
Ann-Kathrin Fritz studied molecular cell biology and immunology at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen. By means of her qualification in human genetics, she acquired fundamental knowledge in medical aspects and biological research like the investigation of alpha-synuklein in the gut in early Parkinson stages. During her Master’s Thesis she dealed with the influence of fetuin-A on the β-cell function in relation to diabetes mellitus Type II.
